Verse Of The Day: And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him. Exodus 32 : 1

LISTEN: Humans always struggle to follow the will of the invisible God. We find it difficult to accept the will of God because we see it from a different point of view. We often see God as interfering or infringing on our rights. We are interested in our rights and careless about God’s rights. We failed to understand that humans have no rights when God’s rights are violated. Where God’s rights are violated, human rights ought to be forfeited. Truly, it is difficult to comprehend the ways of God if our eyes are not opened. Spiritual blindness is the reason for opposing the will of the invisible and immortal God. To relate to an invisible God we need spiritual understanding. Without spiritual insights, relating to the invisible God will be practically impossible. But when we refuse to contest His will, our own will be sure to succeed in Him. He knows more than us. Our ways are not His ways. The bible says, ” For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55 : 8 , 9). Whatever thing He says or does are for our well-being.

Too sad that we often hesitate to follow the will of God. When the children of Israel arrived in the wilderness of Sinai after their miraculous Exodus from the land of Egypt. God ordered Moses to come up to Him at the top of Mount Sinai to receive the commandment while the Israelites wait for his return. After several days of waiting, the people were tired of waiting and opted for another god instead of the almighty God who brought them out of the land of Egypt. They were very impatient that they pleaded with Aaron to make for them a visible god instead of the invisible God. Eventually, Aaron was pressured into making a god for them as a substitute for the almighty God. Sadly, the result was very tragic. God destroyed a lot of them for abandoning Him. (Exodus 32 : 33 – 35). This is the same problem we face today. We often look for an easy way out of God’s purpose. We look for ways to substitute God’s directives for ours. Beloved, how do you relate to God? Are you impatient with Him and wants to have it your own way? Are you finding it difficult to relate to God? Cease henceforth! Always wait for His instructions and you will not fail.
