Verse Of The Day: For we live by faith, not by sight. – 2 Corinthians 5:7.
LISTEN: It is difficult, or better put, impossible to live in this wicked world without being affected by situations that could cause heartbreak, losses, depression, fear, discouragement, pain, betrayal, terror, and many other negative and heartbreaking occurrences. Everyone on earth has his or her own fair share of these ordeals. The whites and the blacks, young and old, tall and short, poor and rich, beautiful and ugly, and all classes of humans are affected by these at some points or the other in life. However, must you helplessly submit yourself to such ugly and painful situation as your lot in life?
Of course not! God designed faith to assist you in the battles of life. When Satan visit, he comes to kill, steal and destroy ( John 10:10 ). His intention is to leave you miserable and heartbroken. When you lost your child, your marriage, job, business, loved one, health, etc, the devil’s intentions is to see you give up on life and die unfulfilled. But I have good news for you, it is not yet over with you, God is still working for you behind the scene; and the raging battles will soon be over as you call on God today ( Psalms 18: 3 ). Beloved, you’re not alone, Christ has come to revive and to refresh you ( John 10:10b ).
In Apostle Paul’s comforting epistle to the affliction- ridden brethren of the Corinthians’ church, he said, ” For we live by faith, not by sight “.( 2 Cor.5: 7 ). To live by faith is to anchor one’s hope in God. It is to believe God for the impossible ( Luke 1: 37 ). Furthermore, it is also to believe that whatever you’re going through is temporary ( 2 Corinthians 4:17 ). How do I know? I know that because whatever is seen is temporary but faith is eternal. Beloved, don’t conclude yourself just by what you see around you, but believe in the power of God through faith. By the spirit of faith, always speak forth what you want to see ( 2 Corinthians 4:13 ) and you will have it ( Matthew 21: 21,22 ).
Henceforth, don’t be deceived or distracted by what you see around you, trust in the LORD and you will certainly receive intervention in Jesus’ name. I prophesy upon your life, this season, every satanic yoke and affliction in your life terminates today, in Jesus’ name.
Henceforth, don’t allow whatever you’re going through destroy your ability to trust the unfailing power of God.
Almighty God, I thank you for your word and the power of the Holy Spirit, I commit my challenges and trials into your hands, help me to faithfully overcome them in Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
Reflection: Faith enables us to see our challenges with the eyes of God.
