Verse Of The Day : Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? – 1 Corinthians 6:19.( NET ).

LISTEN : Everyone living on the earth owe his or her life to God. Although atheist doesn’t believe in the existence of God but that doesn’t negate the fact that God exist and we all belongs to him.  No one lives or dies to himself, we all exist to the glory of God (Romans 14:7,8). So, God wants you to live with the consciousness of his presence and ownership of your life. Unfortunately, many lives as though they are the Lords of their lives. They’ve rejected God in everything they do.  They failed to realise that to neglect God’s position in one’s life is to demonstrate the height of foolishness and ungratefulness. The scripture said” Fools says to themselves, ‘ there is no God. ‘ They sin and commit evil deeds; none of them does what is right” ( Psalms 14:1 ).

Apostle Paul’s epistle to the Corinthians in today’s verse is intriguing and admonishing. He asked, if they’re not aware that the Spirit of God lives in them, as a result, they are not their own? (1 Cor. 6:19 ). His question to the Corinthians church  was occasioned by their carnal lifestyles: their attitudes suggest to the Apostle that they have lost touch with the Holy Spirit.

Beloved, does this also explain your life?  Is your life like the Corinthians church, who though they have accepted Jesus Christ but lived as unbelievers? God wants you to acknowledge his Lordship over your life and to live to the glory of his name. Make a decision to glorify God with your life today: remember, you are bought with a price, the blood of Jesus Christ. So, glorify him with your life ( v. 20 ).

Daily Task
Don’t forget to acknowledge that you owe your life completely to God, therefore, always glorify him with it.

Almighty God, I acknowledged that you are Holy, and demands my dedication, therefore, grant me the grace to make my body a convenient place for your Spirit, in Jesus ‘ name, amen.

Reflection : To think that you own yourself is to live outside the will of God.

Prophetic Word : I prophesy upon your life, you will not lose direction and focus in life,  no situation, man or spirit will alter your love for God; you will be useful to Him, yourself and others as you live on this earth in Jesus’ name.
