Author : Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day: With long life I will satisfy him, and shew him my salvation (Psalms 91:16).

LISTEN: To really understand what the bible is talking about here, we must first of all look at the stand of God as it concerns the life and conduct of the wicked.
In the Bible book of Isaiah 57:21, God says, “There is no peace for the wicked”. Beloved can you see that? Until the wicked repent and turn to God, he will remain a stranger to peace.  Peace talks about harmony with oneself, mental calmness, freedom from war without and within, and a state of quietness within.  Peace is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:22). The Spirit of God dwells in the lives of the believers; therefore, if a christian lacks peace, that could be a sign of the absence of the working power of the Holy Spirit in such person’s life. Such a one need to take inventory of his or her life as to get back the peace that has been lost. Beloved,  don’t attempt to lose your peace; it could mean a loss of your power and life.

Notice that today’s verse said, “with long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation”. Here, God is talking about those who put their confidence in him and keep his words. Those who have decided for him come rain come shine. Those whose hearts are made up for Christ, these are the ones entitled to the blessings of this scriptural verse. God promised to prolong their lives and keep them safe in trouble. He promised to be a refuge and present help in times of trouble. Today, if you’ll obey God by giving your life to the obedience of His Son Jesus Christ, the verse of today will be your portion in Jesus’ name, amen.

Daily Task
Acknowledge God as the source of life and peace and don’t put your trust in any other.

Father of grace, help me to obey your word, and accept your Son Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, as I receive the blessing of salvation and long life in Jesus’ name.

Reflection : Only the eternal God can give eternal life, the real life.

Prophetic Word : In the name of Jesus Christ, I prophesy upon your life today, grace to live successful,  secured and longer on the earth; and achieve your God-given destiny, in Jesus’ mighty name.
