Verse Of The Day: God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.- John 4:24.

LISTEN: Worshipping God in truth and spirit is not negotiable: it is a-must -live life for those who want to live in line with His will. When the woman of Samaria encountered Jesus Christ, she believed that only in the mountain where their ancestors worshipped, and in Jerusalem where the Jews worshipped were the only places for acceptable worship ( v.20).

However, Jesus Christ categorically told her that the worship God demands from them, and from us by extension is different from that. He demands a worship of commitment to Him( vv.21-23); “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth”-John 4:24. What does that mean? It means that those who must worship God acceptably must worship him in sincerity and in reality. We must avoid serving Him in pretense, but in sincerity and reality. It is such worship that glorify him and brings freedom to our spirit, soul and body ( 2 Cor. 3:17). God is delighted with our worship when it is offered to him devoid of self and sin. Friend, he desires your relationship and worship, please don’t deny him your love and commitment. Embrace him today, and be serious with your faith life as you worship him acceptably.

Remember, we are special people to God and should worship him in his acceptable special way, not in the flesh, but in spirit and in truth.(Philippians 3:3).

Daily Task
Commit yourself to sincere and acceptable worship to God.

Precious Father, I thank you for the privilege of service, I ask for grace to worship you in spirit and truth, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Reflection: To worship God without the spirit and truth is a waste of time and effort.

Prophetic Word : In the name of Jesus Christ, I pronounce upon you the grace to worship God in spirit and in truth. I declare upon you today, you will not die unfulfilled, you will fulfill God’s purpose for your life,  in Jesus ‘ name.
