VERSE OF THE DAY: Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean and change your garments: And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went – Genesis 35:2, 3.

LISTEN: Jacob the son of Isaac was confronted with a great challenge after his encounter with his brother Esau; going through his times of distress and fears, he prayed for God’s protection over him, and God granted it.  Consequently, he invited his family to a life of holiness and devotion unto God and urged them to part with every thing that does not give glory to God almighty.  Furthermore, Jacob ordered his family to get up and move to Bethel (the house of God) with him to worship God.  Beloved when last did you go to church or fellowship together with your family like Jacob? You need it because it is vital to your family spiritual and relational life.
