Verse Of The Day : Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. – Hebrews 12 : 2
LISTEN : On a normal circumstance no one would wish for pain. Pain is a mental or emotional suffering : it is sadness caused by mental or emotional problems. It is equally physical feeling caused by disease, injury, or something that hurts. Oftentimes we try to avoid pain, unfortunately, life is not designed that way; life is designed to coexist with pain. From birth to death life is a mixture of pain and gain ( Eccl. 3: 2; Psalms 30 : 5b ). Right from creation, pain has always come before gain, those who understands this mystery will not avoid their necessary pains. Pain is said to be necessary when going through it will produce a desired result, and refusing it will hinder realisation of good purposes.
It will interest you to know that God himself encountered challenges to create our present world out of emptiness and chaos. Adam was first lonely and empty before God made for him a wife. Abraham forsook his relationship with his people, that is, he obediently severed himself from his loved ones and kindred before God’s blessing could locate him. Pregnant women go through inevitable and necessary pains and challenges to bring forth their babies. The examples are countless. In the same way, Jesus Christ had to go through suffering according to our verse of the day to purchase salvation for us all. He knows that through his death mankind would be redeemed to God. Besides, his Father set before him a position of honour at the end of his suffering ( Hebrews 12 : 2 ).
Beloved, to achieve a worthy life, follow the counsel from today’s scriptural verse:
1. Fix your eyes on Jesus Christ, not on your challenges.
2. Count on Jesus Christ to help you, he had bore burdens so he knows how it hurts
3. Endure your pain because of the gain.
4. Don’t allow shame keep you from glory
5. Always remember that God rewards those who labour for a good cause.
Don’t avoid necessary pain, because it is vital to the future you desire.
Prayer: Most High God, I thank you for opening my eyes to your word. Today, I receive grace to be courageous in the face of suffering for a good cause, help me to realise that it is for my own good, in Jesus ‘ name.
Daily Reflection : Those who reject their necessary pains, will inevitably forfeit their necessary gain.
Prophetic Word : Today, I prophesy upon your life, grace to endure the necessary pains for necessary rewards. Whatever that will make you to ignore, neglect, or resent the challenging but necessary circumstances to your wellbeing, I decree, they’re defeated in Jesus ‘ name.
