Verse Of The Day : Leave the presence of a foolish person, or you will not understand wise counsel – Proverbs 14 : 7
LISTEN : Foolish person? That might keep you wondering, who could this person be? Don’t be in a hurry, shortly you will discover it. Let’s first of all find out what the dictionary says about being foolish. Merriam-Webster dictionary says, ” It is having or showing a lack of good sense or judgment”. With this simple definition, a fool is easily known by his way of reasoning and the decisions he makes. A fool is known by what he or she does with his or her marriage, career, business, academic, finances, relationships, etc. Ultimately, a fool is chiefly known by what he or she does with his or her relationship with God.
What is your relationship with God like? Are you among the many who believes that there is no God? That you don’t believe in the existence of God doesn’t negate the truth that God does exist. With your “wisdom”, do you think that the world exist by itself? Do you think that all the things we have in the world – the sun, the moon, the stars, air, the soil for planting and building, the ability to procreate, human intelligence and wisdom, and life itself were all products of chance. To think like that is the height of foolishness. Such thought lacks good sense and judgment. The bible said, ” Fools say to themselves, ” There is no God”. They sin and commit evil deeds; none of them does what is right” ( Psalms 14 : 1 ). Rather than doubt God’s existence, offer praises to him for given us such a wonderful and beautiful world.
To escape drifting away from our spirituality and honour to God, we should do the following as deduced from our verse of the day:
1. Avoid friendship or association with people who have no value for God.
2. Don’t spend your precious time listening to their errors and deception.
3. Examine what you hear whether they have good sense and judgment or not.
4. Always run away from the presence of a foolish person. Don’t open your life to such.
Regulate people’s access into your life. Don’t open your life to everyone, choose who comes in and who goes out.
Almighty God, today, I ask for wisdom and understanding to know who is for you or against you, help me to not be deceived into believing the lies of the devil , in Jesus ‘ name, amen.
Daily Reflection : Not to believe in the existence of God is not to believe in your own existence.
Prophetic Word : Today, by God’s mandate upon my life, I prophesy upon you, no man will deceive you to believe the devil’s lies. God will keep from errors and from falling, in Jesus ‘ name, amen.
