Verse Of The Day: Bless the Lord oh my soul and all that is within me bless his Holy name. Bless the Lord oh my soul and forget not all His benefit … and tender mercies – Psalms 103 :1 – 4.
LISTEN : Life is a mystery and belongs to God. It is here today and gone tomorrow. However, life is full of reasons to be grateful for the good works of the LORD towards us. From the hands of the Lord we receives protection, deliverance, provisions, healing, forgiveness, salvation, comfort in trials, intelligence, wisdom and understanding, etc. But do we ever care to reflect on the mercies of God? Do we ever attribute these mercies and favours to Him, or we’re attributing it to personal efforts and intelligence? Beloved, with your busy life, incessant compliant and excuses, do you ever have time to reflect on the goodness of God in your life? To reflect is to have careful thought or consideration. Beloved, reflecting on life as a whole will open your eyes to see and appreciate the goodness of God towards us.
Because of the countless trials and sufferings that most people go through in life, they believe that there is nothing to thank God for. Beloved, in spite of the negative moments and ordeals we experience in life, we must not be blinded to the countless blessings of God on our lives. You may argue that you don’t have any good reasons to thank God for, this is because you don’t know what God has done for you. Friend, there are many out there who are envying you right now and believed that there lives would have been a lot better if their cases were like yours. Therefore, like David, let’s begin to bless the LORD today for all his benefits. To bless is not just to praise, it is more than to praise: it is to praise with affection and gratitude. This is what the living should regularly do (Psalms 92:1).
Beloved, we will not neglect to praise God if we consider his greatness and kindness. So begin today to praise him for all his blessings in your life and the lives of those around you.
When you wake up each day, do the following:
1. Remember to thank God for everything.
2. Pray to Him for help and guidance
3. Don’t count your losses, learn to count His mercies on your life.
4. Always close each day with thanksgiving.
Use fifteen minutes of your time today to reflect on what God has done for you in the last two years and appreciate him for them.
Daily Reflection : Those who are quick to forget favours and mercies received can hardly offer appreciation.
Almighty Father, God of all graces and blessings, may I not neglect to praise and bless you for all your goodness in my life and family, in Jesus ‘ name, amen.
Prophetic Word : Today, I prophesy over your life and family, every favour and mercy received will not leave your life. The grace to appreciate God as the source of those favours and mercies is released upon your life, in Jesus ‘ name, amen.
