Verse Of The Day : LORD, in the morning you will hear me; in the morning I will present my case to you and then wait expectantly for an answer – Psalms 5 : 3

LISTEN : We are living in a busy world where virtually everyone is in a hurry and wouldn’t accept delay. We want to have everything and at the time we want to have them. Unfortunately, life doesn’t function like that. Life functions in a way that we don’t always get what we want and at the time we want them.  There’re times we get what we want without stress, other times we had to wait a while to get them. Sadly, many has given up on their expectations because they have lost the ability to wait for the LORD’s timing and answer.

What does it mean to live expectantly? It means to live in the expectation that something interesting, exciting, or pleasurable will happen. Living expectantly encourages us to maintain a positive mindset to life’s circumstances. Everyday we sleep and wake up with expectations in our hearts; some great, some small. Unfortunately, most times people whose hearts and minds are filled with expectations suddenly give up on their expectations and yeild themselves to the life of fear and doubt.

Beloved, don’t forget that every believer come to Christ by faith; therefore, to keep our faith alive we must live with expectations in our hearts, because, expectation is the attitude that keeps faith alive. In our text today, David said, ” My voice shall you hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayers unto you, and I will look up”. David was saying that he would make his prayer unto God and after the prayer, he will wait for the answer.

He sincerely believed that God cannot disappoint him but deliver him from his numerous afflictions. Proverbs 23 : 18 says, ” For surely there is an end ( future) ;and your expectation shall not be cut off “. Beloved, like David, there is a bright future for an expectant person irrespective of circumstances around him or her. Why are you despairing? Why are you given up on life because of what you’re going through? Perhaps you lost your job, business, loved one, health, marriage, finances, relationship, etc, and you have chosen to give up on life just like that? Just put your trust in God : he is working out something better for you behind the scene. Do not lose hope, but keep your hope alive for your time of favour has come.

Having heard this message, what are you expected to do?

1. Don’t lose hope no matter the circumstances around you.
2. Always learn to keep your hope and dreams alive.
3. Always offer prayers to God and expect answers.
4. Claim the promise of God that says, “your expectations will not be disappointed”.

Daily Task
Rebuke every spirit of doubt and hopelessness in your life, and then pray to be fill with the spirit of expectation and unwavering faith.

Daily Reflection : He who refuses to give up in the face of hopeless circumstances, will receive strength and grace from the God of hope.

Prophetic Word : Today, by the wonder working name of Jesus Christ, I prophesy upon your life, your expectations will not be cut off. This season, whatever you’re trusting God for, I command it released within 7 days, in Jesus ‘ name.
