Verse Of The Day : Ah Lord God! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and stretched out arm,   and there is nothing too hard for you – Jeremiah 32 : 17

LISTEN: In the reign of King Zedekiah of Judah, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon besieged Jerusalem in fulfilment of God’s prediction to Judah and their king for their disobedience to His several warnings. God revealed to Prophet Jeremiah that King Zedekiah would be carried away to Babylon and the land of Judah will be deserted; as a result, they will mourn greatly. However, in verse 15 of today’s chapter, God said, ” For thus says the LORD of host, the God of Israel; Houses and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land”.

To this prediction of hope in verse 15 Prophet Jeremiah responded,” Ah Lord God! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for you” ( Jeremiah 32 : 17 ). Prophet Jeremiah knew that God was set to visit the inhabitants of Judah with destruction for their sins; but was hopeful that He(God) will give eventual intervention after the tragedy.

After the captivity and repentance of Judah, God remembered them and brought them back to their land. Beloved, you may ask, how is it possible to recover from this my ordeals? Is it possible to overcome the trials I’m going through? Is it possible to be the same again? Yes, it is very possible. Any time you’re experiencing a case similar to that of the inhabitants of Judah, repent and believe that God will rescue you.

At such times, don’t despair, instead remember that God cannot permanently abandon you. It is impossible for that man to despair who remembers that his helper is the Omnipotent. A faithful child of God will enjoy the privilege of consolation, encouragement and emotional healing from the word of God.  Only in the gospel of Christ can hurting people find such incredible hope.  I want you to encourage yourself that no matter how overwhelming your problems are, you have no reason to fear (Psalms 23 : 4).  There is no situation in life that our God cannot handle.  In Jeremiah 32 : 27, the bible says, “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: Is there anything too hard for me?” Friend, do you think there is anything too hard for God? Why are you despairing and compounding your burden? Trust in the LORD our God and he will help you.

Your responsibility in today’s devotional:

1. Determine to cast your burden on the LORD.
2. When you’re suffering from self-inflicted afflictions, repent immediately and reconcile to God.
3. When trials come don’t despair, instead, remember that God can handle what you cannot.

Daily Task :
Always develop the attitude of faith when you are faced with challenging situations and determine to fight on to victory.

Daily Reflection : God can handle what you cannot; so throw your fears to him.

Almighty Father, I come to you today with a heart full of pain, help me to overcome my fears and obtain healing for my hurting soul in Jesus’ name, amen.

Prophetic Word : Today, I prophesy upon your life, every challenge, problem, heartbreak, losses, humiliation that you have encountered has been reversed in Jesus ‘ name.
