VERSE OF THE DAY: And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob – Exodus 2:24.
LISTEN: To groan is to complain about something, it is to make a deep sound because of pain. That was the case of the Israelites. They were in slavery in the land of Egypt for over four hundred years; they mourned and groaned for freedom. Thankfully, God acknowledged their plight and intervened. He told Moses that he was aware of the bondage of the Israelites and has come to rescue them. In Exodus 6:5 God said, “And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant”. God remembered the Israelites because of his covenant with Abraham and his seeds.
Similarly, God is not ignorant of what you are going through today, he has planned out how to effect your freedom and deliverance; and very soon, you will leap for joy. Remember, when the Israelites went to Egypt they went as a family, but when they came out they came out a nation. Beloved, like the Israelites, what you are going through today is for your enlargement and promotion; if it were not so God would not have allowed it. Keep trusting God, very soon, the camp of your enemy will be thrown into confusion and disarray: then they will have no choice but to let you go.
God is checking on the devils’ evil advances on you right now, and the devil will be powerless the moment God is done with him. Remember, when Moses displayed God’s greatness with the rod of God, the Egyptian’s magicians counterfeited it to a point that there magic could no longer work and they said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger of God”. Friend, God’s finger of judgment is coming on your adversaries in this season in Jesus’ name.
The power of God sets on His judgment when the power of Satan fails. Today, Satan’s grip over your life is doomed to fail. Your moan of pains and grief will receive supernatural attention this season, in Jesus’ name.
Having read today’s devotional, what are you expected to do?
1. Always believe that God will remember your groaning.
2. Rather than complain about your sufferings, cry to God.
3. When you’re in trouble, pray earnestly for divine intervention.
4. When in trouble don’t give up; wait patiently for God’s help.
In your groaning don’t lose hope, always remember that God is working for you behind the scene.
Daily Reflection : God’s silence on us is broken when our groaning for divine help is increased.
Merciful Father, attend to the groaning of my soul and supernaturally intervene in my case, in Jesus’ name, men.
Prophetic Word : Today, I prophesy upon your life, the protracted groaning of your life terminates today, in Jesus ‘ name.
