Verse Of The Day : Only do not rebel against the LORD, and do not fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their protection has turned aside from them, but the LORD is with us. Do not fear them. – Numbers 14 : 9
LISTEN : You’re created in the image of God, that is, you’re designed to be a carrier of His nature. One of the natures of God is authority and power. He has the power or right to control and direct anyone or anything. Every power and authority in heaven, earth and beneath the earth dread the power of God the creator of heaven and earth. Authority is one of the privileges we have as children of God. A powerful and fearless God cannot give birth to anything less than powerful and fearless children. Because we carry the image of God we cannot do anything less than be brave and powerful in our fight against the devil.
The enemy and his agents wouldn’t want you to possess your possessions, that is why he often struck people with fear. He makes you believe that what God says about you is not realistic and achievable. He wants you to feel intimidated and die a coward. This was the case of the Israelites when they were set free from the bondage of Egypt. God told them that He has given them the land of Canaan, but doubt and fear wouldn’t allowed them go for their God-given possession.
In today’s verse, God clearly told them through Moses that they had been empowered for victory. He encouraged them to trust in the LORD and go for their possession, even the land of Canaan. However, fear will not permit them to obey God. They murmured and opposed the LORD’s command to possess the land of Canaan. They saw themselves as not able to possess the land (Numbers 13:31- 33; 14 :1 – 3).
Beloved, are you opposing or doubting God’s mandate upon your life like the Israelites? Are you afraid to go for what the LORD has already given to you? Do you still believe that your enemies are stronger than you? As a result you feel intimidated and threatened? Drop that negative thought today and believe what God is saying about you – you’re empowered for victory.
Having read today’s devotional message, what are you expected to do?
1. Stop feeling intimidated and start living brave.
2. Don’t allow fear and doubt to rob you of your God-given possessions.
3. Begin to think like a victor not a victim.
4. Accept what God says you are, and oppose the lies of the devil.
Consciously develop a positive mindset and persistently reject every negative thought in your mind.
Daily Reflection : He that is already empowered for victory must not think like a defeated and humiliated foe.
Blessed Father, thank you for delivering me from spirits of intimidation, fear, victimisation and cowardice. I accept my authority in Christ, therefore, I’m empowered to overcome the enemy in Jesus ‘ name, amen.
Prophetic Word : Today, I command every spirit of intimidation, fear, victimisation and cowardice deposited in you by the enemy to be cast out. I decree that you’re empowered for victory in Jesus ‘ name.
