Verse Of The Day: I am waiting for the Lord, my soul is waiting for him, and my hope is in his word. – Psalms 130: 5(BBE).

LISTEN: Hope is the power of being cheerful in circumstances we know to be desperate – G.K Chesterton.
Disappointment happens everyday to different people. To the whites and the blacks alike. Your size, colour, background, position, status in the society, ete, can’t exempt you from disappointments. Most times people disappoint us deliberately, other times it happens beyond their control. To some of us whose parents, loved ones, husbands, wives, etc are dead, the deceased would have wished to stay with us a little longer, but they disappointed us due to circumstance beyond their control – death.

Time of disappointment is such a desperate moment. However, when we’re facing life challenges and desperate circumstances, what we need to do is to hope and have faith in God. At such time of disappointment when it seems like your hope is gone, you need to place your hope, faith and purpose completely in God’s hands. He knows how and when you were created; He knows your frame and so will not allowed you to suffer beyond what you can bear (Psalms 103:14). Remember that God is faithful to His promises. In Hebrews 11:6 the Bible says, “Without faith it is impossible to please God and whoever that must come to Him must believe that he is, and he is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him”.

Coming to God demands that in everything you should put your confidence in Him. Maybe you have prayed and your prayers have always been greeted with silence and delay: all you should do is wait for the LORD in hope and not to neglect your responsibilities as human. In your time of waiting, read and meditate the word of God and accept all his promises and doubt not, for the LORD Almighty will not disappoint.

Having read today’s devotional message, what are you expected to do?
1. Trust the faithfulness of God.
2. When you experience disappoint, remember that it is just temporary.
3. Don’t allowed the pain of disappointment to keep you from enjoying God’s never ending faithfulness.

Daily Task
In your moments of disappointment, look up, for our God still lives.

Daily Reflection : When men disappoint you, you’re just temporarily disappointed because God can twist all in your favour.

Precious Father, in my moments of distress and disappointment my hope is in you. I know you never disappoint. Therefore, let me not be ashamed in Jesus’ name, amen.

Prophetic Word : Today, I prophesy upon your life, may you not be disappointed, and may you not be put to shame. Today, I decree that your reproaches are rolled away in Jesus ‘ name.
