Verse Of The Day: Righteousness exalts a nation but sin is a disgrace to any people – Pro. 14:34.

LISTEN: To exalt is to be set on high, to cause to grow, to be raised up, to rise, to be lifted up, etc. That is what we receive when we do the will of God. In contrast, sin brings disgrace – to fall from grace or honour. The bible recorded that when God created man he made them in His own image and likeness to have dominion over other creatures and to dominate the entire earth. In addition, God gave them power to be fruitful and multiply ( Genesis 1: 27,28 ). However, this authority and blessings were lost because of sin – disobedience to the orders of God ( Genesis 3. ).

They (Adam and Eve) foolhardily ate the fruit they were warned not to eat. They ate just a fruit but lost an entire garden of glory as consequence for being disobedient. This irreverent act made man to forfeit their favour in God, hence mankind was plunged into shame and sorrow. Brethren, the devastating effects of sin are enormous, but righteousness delivers from evil (Pro. 11:4); thank God for His Son Jesus Christ.

The good news today is that God has provided for you a way back to himself (Jesus Christ), and He is reinstating the faithfuls and obedient into favour with Him. Those who maintain right relationship with God will certainly be exalted. This season, you shall unfailingly be exalted in Jesus’ name.
True promotion locates us in life when we live in a way that pleases God. It causes us to attract wellbeing, importance and power. May God position you for exaltation this season in Jesus’ name. From today, vehemently say no to sin and its deceptive pleasures.

Beloved, do not permit ungodly lifestyles nor compromise your dedication to God. Remember, sin brings disgrace – a source of shame, loss of favour or standing. Beloved, sin will certainly demean and debase a man and subsequently strip him of honour. Please avoid sin.

Having read today’s devotional message, what are you expected to do?
1. Resist sin at all cost.
2. Surrender yourself to Jesus Christ and trust him to help you fight sin.
3. Determine to live wisely, faithfully and upright in the face of sin.
4. Encourage others to shun evil.

Daily Task
Always resist the so – called pleasures of sin, because the reproach it brings is greater than the pleasures” it offers.

Daily Reflection : Sin is deceitful and only those who refuse the leadership of God can gladly submit to the deceit of the devil.

Heavenly Father, help me to refuse sin and escape the reproaches that comes with it. Help me to live upright to your own glory in Jesus’ name.

Prophetic Word
: Today, I prophesy upon your life, every yoke of sin in you is hereby broken. I decree upon you grace to live wisely and upright in Jesus ‘ name.
