Verse Of The Day: Who gave himself for us, that he might redeemed us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people zealous of good works (Titus 2:14)

LISTEN: A good God does a good work. Good work is that which is done to the glory of God and the blessing of man. The good works of God is demonstrated in his love for us (the world). Jesus Christ gave up himself for us all so that we should live the rest of our lives to the glory of God. He redeemed us from all iniquity and the curse of the law and became a curse on our behalf (Gal. 3:13). He didn’t stop there, he purified us, that is, he made us pure and clean from every impurity and defilement occasioned by sin. Sincerely, his purpose was to raise a special people for his eternal purpose. He desires a special people who will carry on with his legacies of goodness till he return. Beloved, you’re one of those special people.

The scripture says “He purified unto himself a peculiar people zealous of good works”. This means that Christ’s purpose for redeeming us from the devil is not just to be saved and inherit life, but also to be useful to God while in the earth. He wants you to be passionate about doing good to the glory of His name.

Beloved, how enthusiastic are you about good works in your neighborhood, office, family, work place, marriage, church, school, etc.? Remember, Jesus Christ made you who you are today for you to make the world what he wants the world to be. So don’t hesitate to do good as He leads you. Beloved, doing good also demand that you preach Christ to the unbelievers around your neighbourhood? Soul winning is one aspect of the good works the scripture is talking about today. Don’t neglect to tell others about Jesus Christ’ power to save, it is your responsibility as a child of God. Do it and God will bless you.

Heavenly Father, help me to be zealous of good works and to establish your purpose wherever I find myself in Jesus’ name, amen.
