Verse Of The Day : Be angry and do sin not; do not let the sun go down on the cause of your anger. Do not give the devil an opportunity.- Ephesians 4 : 26-27

LISTEN : Most often people allowed themselves to be control by anger. Anger is to make (someone) angry. It is a feeling of being upset or annoyed because of something wrong or bad. This feeling makes someone want to hurt other people, shout at them, or do other hurtful actions to them. Offenses will certainly come but we have a choice to respond politely and wisely to them. When you allowed anger to take root in your heart it will only lead to resentment and irritability. Trust me, feeling this way without resolving it as fast as possible will lead to break down of relationship.

Thankfully, God provides peace, grace and forgiveness through His Son Jesus Christ which He equally wants us to extend to others when they hurt us. Notice that God didn’t say we should not be angry at all, but that we should not sin in cause of our anger. He said, ” Do not let the sun go down on the cause of your anger” (v.26b). What it simply means is that you should let go of Offenses, and then seek and accept reconciliation after Offenses as quickly as possible. Why? So that the devil will not use such opportunity to overcome you (v.27). The devil wants to see you carry around grudges and resentment. Beloved, don’t give him that opportunity.
Having read today’s devotional message, what are you expected to do?

2. When you hurt others seek forgiveness and reconciliation.
3. When others hurt you accept their plea for forgiveness.

Daily Task
