Verse Of The Day : Deliver me from my distress; rescue me from my suffering!- Psalms 25 : 17(NET)

LISTEN : Mercy and quick rescue is always the cry of anyone in distress. Obviously no one is immune to pain and sufferings, everyone at one point or the other taste a dose of it. When trouble comes it does appear that we’re not going to come out of it. We often panic and miss what should be done. We’re always too quick to forget God and go in search of alternative “solution” when our distress seem to increase. Beloved, if your distress increases, shouldn’t your cry for mercy increase also?

God’s ear is itching to hear your distress call, even your prayers. David in the midst of his afflictions cried and said, ” Deliver me from my distress; rescue me from my suffering”(Psalms 25:17). He cried out to God because the case was more than he could handle. And because he cried out to God He delivered him. David said, ” Surely he rescue me from all trouble, and I triumph over my enemies.(Psalms 54 : 7). Beloved, are you in some form of danger or distress? Like David, call to the LORD today and you will be glad you did.

Having read today’s devotional, what are you expected to do?

1. Don’t bear your burdens alone take it to God.
2. Trust the LORD to deliver you from your distress when you call
3. Don’t give up in time of trouble, rather hang on till your help come.

Daily Task : God doesn’t reject anyone, therefore make peace with Him and call to him in your troubles.

Daily Reflection : Divine help defies afflictions and procure deliverance.

Prayer: Oh LORD, the mighty in battle! I plead for your mercies today, deliver me from the hands of my enemies in Jesus ‘ name, amen. .

Prophetic Word : By the mandate of God upon my life, I decree upon your life, every enemy holding you hostage be cast out and your freedom release to you in Jesus’ name.
