Verse Of The Day: We walk by faith, not by sight – 2 Corinthians 5:7

LISTEN: God Almighty is a God of possibilities. He transforms impossibilities into possibilities. (Matt. 19:26). With him there’s no condition too bad, difficult, or impossible that he can’t handle. He want us to live in that realm, the realm where we believe that everything is possible: the realm of unwavering faith. He wants us to walk by faith, not by sight. That is, to live with the conviction that He exists and is the creator and ruler of all things, the provider and bestower of eternal salvation through Christ. God want us to rely on him, though we can’t see him but we can feel him; though we can’t trace him but we can trust him: because faith is the guaranty of things hoped for, the evidence or convincing proof of things not seen.(Hebrews 11:1).

Our verse of the day today shows the way and how Christians ought to live. We are to conduct ourselves in our course of life with reference to the things which are unseen, and not with reference to the things which are seen. To walk by faith is to live in the confident expectation of things that are to come; in the belief of the existence of unseen realities, and allowing them to influence us as if they were seen.

Christians are not to live like the people of this world who lives just for this present life. People who live just for wealth, honour, fame, popularity, praise, money, etc. People whose lives revolves around the things of this world as though everything begins and ends here; or as if they ought not to be influenced by the things which are unseen (things with eternal value). Besides, Christians are different people who ought to live with a firm believe in the Omnipotence of God, and not to allow life’s circumstance affect their confidence and faith in God. Finally, walking by faith is the lifestyle of the righteous and they are preserved by it. Those who walk by faith are not bothered by adverse current and prevailing circumstances, because they know certainly that such is just temporary. Beloved, anyone who choose to walk by sight is both limited in thinking and spirituality; as a result, will lose God’s approval (Heb. 10:38). Determine to walk by faith and not by sight.

Having read today’s devotional, what are you expected to do?
1. Don’t be control by circumstances, but by the word of God.
2. Don’t live just for the present, live for eternity.
3. Don’t surrender to your circumstances, have faith in God no matter what.
4. Commit your impossible cases to God and allow him to handle them for you.

Daily Task : By faith, always visualize the reality of your expectations and believe that they’ll soon find expression in your life.

Daily Reflection : The realm of unwavering faith is the realm of possibilities; invest in it! For what you can’t see or imagine you can’t grab.

Prayer: LORD God, the protector and preserver of my life; help me to build my faith in you. I refuse to walk by sight, but by faith and to grow from strength to strength in Jesus ‘ name, amen.

Prophetic Word : Today, I prophesy over your life, receive grace to walk by faith and not by sight in Jesus ‘ name.
