Verse Of The Day : A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels.- Proverbs 1:5 (UKJV).
LISTEN : No one is too educated and wise that he or she shouldn’t learn anymore. Learning should last throughout lifetime. This is because we become wiser when we keep learning and increase in knowledge, especially in the ways of God. With the knowledge we acquire, whether theoretical or practical knowledge, We become refined in how to think better and act better. Unfortunately, a lot of people thinks that they know all, therefore have nothing more to learn from others. Friend, you shouldn’t be content with that measure of knowledge you have, or believe that you can’t learn from others; instead, labour still for more. Give yourself to the search for knowledge. Open your ears and your heart to it. Lend your senses to the acquisition of knowledge, because by them, learning enters into the soul.
Beloved, make use of your senses, especially your ears. Our ears are the conduit pipes of wisdom. It convey wisdom to the soul. The word of God is the source of true wisdom. The Scripture brings about increase of knowledge, because it is the highest book in the world. All heavenly wisdom in other books comes from the bible, as waters in rivers from the fountain, Scripture learning is the best learning. It is the most profitable and profound knowledge in the earth. No one can attain reasonable height without divine wisdom. As believers in Christ, it is equally good to acquire the natural parts of wisdom. This is because, if the natural parts of wisdom is acquired and well used, it will help much in religion, just as Paul’s learning was a great help to him in the kingdom assignments.
Friend, are you much of a talker than a hearer? Remember, we learn more when we listen or observe others. James 1:19 said, ” Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.” So spend more time listening than talking and you’ll increase in knowledge.
