Verse Of The Day : The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runs into it, and is safe.- Proverbs 18 : 10 (UKJV).

LISTEN : The world is not a safe place. No matter how secured or fortified your “place of safety” might seem, it is still expose to attacks and invasion. Every single day all over the world, people are on the run scampering to safety, for there seems to be no safe place. Most often we hear about bombing in one place or the other. Terrorism, cultism and militancy are equally on the rise. Kidnapping, killing, rape, armed robbery, etc happens everyday. Similarly, natural disasters such as: heavy flooding, earthquakes, fire, violent winds, etc, often occur to worsen the situation. Beloved, all that we’re going through each day is enough to tell us that there’s no safe place in this world except one – God.

The bible said, ” The name of the Lord is a strong tower.” This means that the name of the Lord is as great as God, because the name of God is God himself; whatever God is, is expressed in his name. God is a strong tower, a refuge, and place of complete safety to all that trust in him (2 Samuel 22 : 3). He’s a strong fortress to his persecuted, tempted and afflicted followers. Whatever situation we find ourselves, let’s use that part of God’s name that can address that particular case in our lives. “The name of the Lord”, that is, God himself is everything to us. To the sick, His name is JEHOVAH Rapha, the LORD that heals. To the needy, His name is the great provider, JEHOVAH Jireh. To he that is afraid, confused and troubled, His name is JEHOVAH Shalom, God our peace, etc. God is really a strong tower; he’s sufficient for our protection in case of greatest dangers. Beloved, let’s run to the LORD, He’s the only safe place on earth.

Having read today’s devotional, what are you expected to do?
1. Don’t put your confidence in man, put your confidence in God.
2. When you’re in any form of danger run to the LORD for safety.
3. Don’t allow anything deceive you to believe that you’re safe without God.
4. Establish and maintain a friendly relationship with God and enjoy his Fatherly care.

Daily Task : Whatever situation you find yourself, remember that there’s one of God’s names that can handle a particular case, then call him by that name.

Daily Reflection : God is a strong tower, a refuge, and place of complete safety to all that trust in him. He’s a strong fortress to his persecuted, tempted and afflicted followers.

Prayer : Blessed Father, I know that you’re my help in this wicked world, keep me from evil and satanic invasions in my life in Jesus ‘ name, amen.

Prophetic Word : Today, I prophesy over your life, you’ll not be forsaken in trouble, God will make a way for you where there is no way, in Jesus ‘ name.
