Verse Of The Day : Do not say, “I will pay back evil!” Wait for the LORD, so that he may vindicate you.- Proverbs 20 : 22 (NET).
LISTEN : Martin Luther King Jr said, ” An eye for an eye will leave everyone blind.” Our desires to avenge all wrongs has left us where we find ourselves today. Nobody wants to let go of Offenses, virtually everyone wants to take his or her own pound of flesh. But do you know that if you’re to follow every evil that men have done to you or your relatives the world can never be safe for anyone? This is because, at one point or the other everyone had hurt someone either directly or indirectly. Undoubtedly, you have equally hurt some sometimes ago and you were forgiven, what stops you from forgiving others today? Why seek private revenge instead of seeking God’s vindication? The bible said, ” Do not say, “I will pay back evil! That’s, don’t do an injury to one that has done one to you. The bible warned that private revenge is not to be taken, but should be left to God, to whom vengeance belongs. Learn to wait on the Lord, and he shall save you; commit yourself and cause to God; leave it with him to avenge your wrongs; wait upon him in the way of your duty, and wait his own time to do you justice; he will at the proper season, and in his own way, save you from your enemy or enemies as the case may be, and make a righteous retribution to him or her (the enemy).
Beloved, don’t think that God is not aware of what you’re going through in the hands of others, or what you make others go through in your hands, it’s a matter of time, and God will pay you with your own coin or vindicate you where necessary. Are you a person who pays evil to those who do good to you? Beware! The bible said, ” Whosoever rewards evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.(Proverbs 17 : 13). Are you a person who commits all manners of crimes and evil, and believes that you’ll get away with it? Think twice! For the bible said, ” To me (God) belong vengeance and recompense. In due time their (evildoers) feet will slip, because their time of calamity is near and the things prepared for them draw near. ( Deuteronomy 32 : 35). Beloved, don’t think that God is not aware of your actions, he’s watching you. He has promised to visit and punish all evil, as much as he will reward all goodness. God’s word declares, ” Be sure of this: the wicked will not go unpunished, but the descendants of the righteous will go free.” (Proverbs 11 : 21 ). Henceforth, consider your ways and it shall be well with you.
