Verse Of The Day : Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:- Psalms 103 : 2

LISTEN : We’re quick to count our losses than we’re in counting our blessings. We often engage our thoughts with the memories of what we’ve lost than what we’ve gained. If you take the time to think, you’ll realise that the goodness of God is evidenced in your life. Search around yourself, there’re clear evidences of his favour in your life. Let me ask you, is there anything in your life that you can’t trade for money? Something that you can’t accept any amount of money to give away? Something that you’re not ready to lose in spite of your condition and circumstances? That alone tells you that you’re still enjoying the blessings of God. You’re only blinded to this fact because, you’re busy counting your losses instead of your blessings from the Lord. David was a man who had suffered numerous afflictions, however, he never failed to acknowledge the grace and goodness of God upon his life. He said to himself, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”

Beloved, have you forgotten the blessings of God upon your life? That’s so sad my dear! It ought not to be so. Not any of the benefits from God; even the least of them are to be forgotten. They all flows not from our merit, but from the mercy of God. Beloved, search yourself, they are many, even innumerable; they are new every morning, and continue all the day; and not one should be forgotten. Unfortunately, even good men are very apt to forget them; as the Israelites of old, who sung the praises of the Lord, and soon forgot his works. If not all, let’s remember what God has done for us through Jesus Christ, and therefore to both show gratitude and thankfulness to him, and for the encouragement of our faith and hope in him.

Having read today’s devotional, what are you expected to do?
1. Don’t waste your time counting your losses, rather spend your life rehearsing your blessings.
2. Don’t shut your eyes to the blessings of God, rather acknowledge and appreciate them.
3. Don’t remain depressed just because you encountered a loss, rather get over it and move on.
4. Don’t take the blessings of God for granted no matter the size of it.

Daily Task : Don’t occupy your mind with the memories of what you’ve lost instead of what you’ve gained; if you take the time to think, you’ll realise that the goodness of God is evidenced in your life.

Daily Reflection : Not any of the benefits from God; even the least of them are to be forgotten. They all flows not from our merit, but from the mercy of God.

Prayer : Almighty God, I thank you for your word to me today, I surrender my losses to you, turn them in my favour in Jesus ‘ name, amen.

Prophetic Word : Today, I prophesy over your life, every loss you’ve encountered will return to you the favour of God in Jesus ‘ name, amen.
