Verse Of The Day : Above all, keep your love for one another fervent, because love covers a multitude of sins.- 1 Peter 4 : 8 (NET).

LISTEN : Are you deeply hurt by someone you called your friend? As a result you’ve sworn not to forgive him or her? Are you frustrated by those you called your parents? As a result, you’ve equally sworn never again to have anything to do with members of your family? Have you lost virtually everything to someone’s carelessness or attacks on your life? As a result, you’ve sworn that over your dead body will you let go of it? Have you been wrongly punished, mistreated and sent packing by the man you called your husband? Hence, you’ve determined to avenge yourself? Have you been betrayed and emotionally wounded by your wife? And has therefore vowed to get back at her and never again to have anything to do with women? Are your dreams aborted because those who should have helped you abandoned you to your faith? As a result, your life today has become a wreck? Is that why, you’ve determined to take your ‘pound of flesh’ in due course? Is your own case weightier than the ones enumerated above? And you think that it’s not possible for you to let go?

Beloved, there’s a ‘pill’ I will like you to swallow. Anyone who has taken the ‘pill’ will attest to the fact that it heals all wounds, kills all pains and cover multitude of sins. That pill is LOVE. Beloved, have you tried love? You’re finding it difficult to handle your case or let go of that Offense because you haven’t tried love. love is powerful, and more powerful than your emotions. 1 Corinthians 13, says this about love, “Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up. It is not rude, it is not self-serving, it is not easily angered or resentful. It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”- 1Cornthians 13 : 4 – 7. Friend, when you feel betrayed by your confidant, try love. When someone hurt you deeply, try love. When your trusted spouse betray you, as a result, you feel frustrated and confused, try love. Whatever pain or misery you’ve been put through, don’t think of, or resort to avenging yourself, try love. When you try love, you won’t have any need for revenge because forgiveness will certainly swallowed up the passion for vengeance. Always remember that “love covers a multitude of sins.”.
