Verse Of The Day : Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.
He comes forth like a flower, and is cut down: he flees also as a shadow, and continues not.- Job 14 : 1 , 2

LISTEN : Man is God’s masterpiece. We’re made in the image of God and blessed to dominate. Life was sweet and blissful until sin crept in and destroyed both our peace and the ability to live forever. Since then, life hasn’t been the same. This calls for a sober Reflection. That is,to take a great deal of time to analysize and think through your life, to either reaccount how far you’ve come, or to assist make a serious life changing decision. Beloved, are you not concerned that things are the way they’re today? Does it not hurt you that the world is the way it’s right now? Are you not bothered? Perhaps, your response might be, bothered about what, right? If I may ask, One hundred and fifty years ago were you on the earth? Or, one hundred years ago were you here? For some of us, eighty, sixty, forty, twenty or even ten years ago we weren’t yet on the earth? But thankfully we’re here today. When you were born, your arrival was celebrated by relatives and perhaps neighbours. But was it a mistake for you to be born into the world at a time as this? Was it not God’s purpose to bring you into this world as a gift and not as a curse and source of communal and societal disasters?

Have you accessed your impact on your community, nation and the world at large? Is it to the advantage of human existence? Is your own existence a blessing or a curse to mankind? Beloved, I want you to realise that we’re not going to be here forever. The bible book of Job said it all, Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble. He comes forth like a flower, and is cut down: he flees also as a shadow, and continues not. (Job 14 : 1 , 2). With all our glory, achievements, fame, wealth, power, etc; our lives are just for a short period; like a flower, its beauty and charm fades too soon. But should we spend our lives without wisdom? Of course not! Having realised that we haven’t come to stay, we should strive to live well and to the glory of God. The bible has the answer as to what we should do. The bible said, “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.(Psalms 90:12). Beloved, only God through his word can teach us to remember how frail we are. If you’ll have a sober Reflection, you’ll realise that your life is far spent, therefore the remaining part of it should be used to the glory of God.

Having read today’s devotional, what are you expected to do?
1. Don’t exist without purpose, rather glorify God with your life by being a blessing to the world.
2. Before you retire for the day, examine your actions and activities for that day and make amends where you’ve not done well.
3. From time to time, take analysis of your actions and decisions, so that you’ll not just exist, but exist to the glory of God.
4. Always listen to the voice of conscience and don’t refuse to follow God’s instructions.

Daily Task : Let’s not spend our lives without wisdom, since we know that we haven’t come to stay forever, we should strive to live well and to the glory of God.

Daily Reflection : With all our glory, achievements, fame, wealth, power, etc; our lives are just for a short period; like a flower, its beauty and charm fades too soon.

Prophetic Word : Today, I prophesy over your life, may God make you conscious and sensitive to evil. No man or power will be allowed to lead you astray in Jesus ‘ name, amen.
