Verse Of The Day : And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.- 2 Corinthians 12 : 9

LISTEN : Many may argue that they’re what they’re today by their personal efforts, intelligence, connections, wisdom, strength, etc, but they err, because we’re what we’re by grace (2 Corinthians 3 : 5). However, God’s grace doesn’t exclude us from necessary human efforts and doing the needful to enjoy His blessings upon the works of our hands. Whatever we enjoy on this planet is all by His grace. For instance, the sick needs grace not just medication to recover from sicknesses and diseases. Every medication or ‘traditional concoction’ would rely on the immune system and life itself to function; if the immune system and life can’t work anymore, the medication or concoction is of no use. The same apply to all areas of life. Beloved, life completely depend on God’s goodness and grace to be sustained. From the air we inhale and exhale to the food we eat; the wise can’t help but trace all benefits to His grace. One of the mysteries of God’s grace is that it works well in weakness. I believe this might sound confusing and impracticable, right?God’s grace enables you to do or become what you don’t have the strength to do or become. When you thought you can’t continue with life anymore, that’s when His grace comes to speak on your behalf. When you’ve concluded to give up on life, there His grace will speak. When the last option left to you is to commit suicide because of frustration, adversities, afflictions, sicknesses, tragedies, etc, that’s when His grace often appears.

God’s grace is His gift and power to the helpless, troubled and afflicted. No matter how strong, powerful, clever, wise, healthy, etc you might be, there’s certainly a moment you’ll feel or become less of who you really are. At such time you’ll wish that you become or feel different. Apostle Paul, who was endowed with so much of divine revelations and insights, bravery and contentment, came to a point where he was in difficult and precarious situation; and he asked God for intervention and possible eradication of his affliction. Guess what God replied after he (Paul) had prayed over and over again; “And he [God] said unto me, My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12 : 9a). Beloved, are you in any form of danger, affliction, trouble, etc; rather than complain, weep, groan, mourn and wish to die, why not rely on the unfailing and sufficient grace of God? His grace is made complete in weakness. That’s, His grace works well in your inabilities. When Apostle Paul received this unlikely response from God – “My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” Hear what he [Paul] resolved, He said, ” Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities [weaknesses], that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”(2 Corinthians 12 : 9b). Apostle Paul determined to rely completely on God’s grace than struggle endlessly to change what God has given him the power to endure. Beloved, any situation you find yourself, don’t give up, remember, God’s grace is sufficient for you. What your strength can’t handle, God’s grace can handle it (Hebrews 4 : 16).

Having read today’s devotional, what are you expected to do?
1. Don’t just rely on your personal efforts, intelligence, connections, wisdom, strength, etc, rather acknowledge and rely on the grace of God.
2. Don’t give up on life, or panic when you find yourself in some kind of difficult situations, rather trust your life with God.
3. Never think that you succeeded by your making, remember that there’re many out there who’re as good as you are, or better than you are, yet they’re not as privileged as you are, because of grace.
4. Don’t oppose God’s will concerning your ordeals, trust Him, for it won’t end in tragedy but testimony and glory.

Daily Task : Any situation you find yourself, don’t give up, remember, God’s grace is sufficient for you. What your strength can’t do, grace can do it.

Daily Reflection : Are you in any form of danger, affliction, trouble, etc; rather than fear, complain, weep, groan, mourn and wish to die, why not rely on the unfailing and sufficient grace of God? His grace is there, embrace it.

Prayer : Blessed Father, I acknowledge today the glorious power of your grace, I ask for it today, in every difficult and challenging moment of my life, let your grace speak for me, in Jesus ‘ name, amen.

Prophetic Word: Today, I prophesy over your life, any difficult and precarious situation you’re currently going through, I decree, may God release divine intervention for you in Jesus ‘ name.
