Verse Of The Day : The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runs into it, and is safe.- Proverbs 18 : 10

LISTEN : One of the greatest challenges of the world today is insecurity. Over the years, insecurity level has risen exponentially and has been a great concern to all. From place to place, and in different countries and continents of the world insecurity is gradually crippling every facet of human endeavours. Homes, businesses and lives are destroyed every passing day. Today, the hearts of men are failing them because of the menace of insecurity. But should we give up on life just because of that? Or seek ‘protection’ from the devil via secret societies? Surrender to avoidable misfortunes and tragedies without crying out to God for mercy? Or take our own lives (commit suicide) out of frustration before another takes it through their evil operations? Of course not! Beloved, you have a choice. Your choice is to surrender to God who’s greater than all, including insecurity, terrorism and all evils. If the world cannot offer you real security, God can. The bible says, “The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runs into it, and is safe.(Proverbs 18 : 10). There’s no safety better or greater than the one God Almighty can give.

God is greater than all. He protects and preserves His faithfuls in times of trouble. None of them can be hurt without His permission. A child of God can only be hurt on purpose. That’s, they can only suffer hurt when suffering hurt fulfills God’s purpose and pleases Him as well. One of such cases is christian persecution; it’s the destiny of christians to suffer for the sake of the gospel of Christ, and with such suffering and sacrifice God is well pleased. The bible book of Philippians 1 : 29 says, ” For it has been granted to you [christians] not only to believe in Christ but also to suffer for him.” Brethren, suffering for Christ includes everything we must go through for believing in Him. However, we’re not to worry because those who suffer with Christ shall eventually reign with Him in glory (2 Timothy 2 : 12). Beloved, if you suffer for the sake of Christ you’re blessed. Besides, if you’re a genuine child of God, don’t be shaken by the insecurity in the world because you’re the ‘apple of His eyes’(Zechariah 2 : 8). No strand of your hair will fall to the ground without His permission (Luke 12 : 7; 21 : 18). Truly, you’re safe in God. Proverbs 21 : 31 says, ” The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.” So, whatever that happens around you always believe that God will not give you up to the will of the enemy or enemies as the case may be. Remember, you are safe in God. Cheer up!
