Verse Of The Day : Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.- Psalms 100 : 2

LISTEN : No one can heartily accept services rendered with grudges or murmuring. No one can possibly enjoy or delight in services not done from the heart. No doubt, some may accept, but cannot delight in it, because the one who rendered the service does not show any regard for the recipient of the service so rendered. The same thing apply to God. He is a righteous and holy God and will not accept any service that is bereft of honour and reverence. He wants you to come before Him excited. He wants you to be happy about rendering service to Him. To serve God faithfully you must not allow any form of distraction, you must be committed to Him no matter what. To serve God with gladness as recorded in this bible verse is not a mere encouragement from the bible, but a command. That is, we are commanded to serve God with gladness. We should be happy and delighted to serve Him. When you are delighted in serving God, you cannot murmur, complain, or question His decisions. When you are delighted in serving God, you will not do anything less than commit to Him, serve Him with fervent zeal, love, joy, cheerfulness and reverence. The Psalmist said, ” Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.”(Psalms 100 : 2).

The kind of service people render to God today is the opposite of this bible verse. A lot of people today render their services to God with sadness and grudges. They appear before Him with no song of appreciation but of complaints. They seemed to complain about everything that they neglect to appreciate and serve God with gladness. Beloved, how glad are you in serving God? How committed are you to Him? How delighted are you in your relationship with Him? Do you feel happy being a child of God? Or are you bored with His service? Beloved, it is an Offense not to serve God with gladness. The bible says, “Moreover all these curses shall come upon you, and shall pursue you, and overtake you, till you be destroyed; because you hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD your God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded you: Because you served not the LORD your God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; Therefore shall you serve your enemies which the LORD shall send against you, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in lack of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon your neck, until he have destroyed you. (Deuteronomy 28 : 45, 47 – 48). Beloved, when you refuse to serve God with gladness, you open up yourself to the enemy’s attack. Beware!
