Verse Of The Day: Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; – 1Timothy 4:1
LISTEN: Just as the bible predicted, apostasy is in full force today as it was in the days of Apostle Paul. Apostasy is from the Greek word ‘apostasia’ , meaning, “ a rebellion; an abandonment or breach of faith or previous loyalty: renunciation of a religious faith: a defiance of an established system or authority.” Like in the first century, apostasy still threatens the Body of Christ today. Christians today tend to abandon the true Christian faith in favour of anything that goes (Another Religion). On a daily basis believers in Christ renounce their faith out of fear and pleasures of the world. Beloved, we are not to be taken unawares by the devil because the Holy Spirit had predicted that in the latter days – which is now – some (Christians) shall depart from the true faith, giving attention to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. Besides, we have the Spirit of Truth- the Holy Spirit, and we should not be deceived. (John 16: 13). Unfortunately, A lot of people are manipulated by the devil today to his advantage. They have crossed over to the camp of the devil by his tricks and deceit of his agents – seducing spirits. Many are seduced today to do the wrong thing. What does it mean to seduce? It means to persuade to disobedience or disloyalty. It means to lead astray usually by persuasion or false promises.
The disobedience and disloyalty among Christians today is as a result of the spirit of end time at work. Virtually everywhere you go today you will see just a form of worship without its power. People only pretend to worship God but in falsehood. Many Christians have chosen to follow satanic trends, fads, principles, standards, etc; they have been led astray by the devil through vain promises of pleasure, fame, happiness, etc, that he cannot deliver. Beloved, have you also been seduced by the devil? Has he enticed you to be disobedient to God? Have you chosen the devil in favour of God? Remember, when you give in to seducing spirits and the doctrines of demon, to do things against the will of God, you will certainly bring condemnation upon yourself. Beloved, retrace your steps today, and God will have mercy on you.
