Verse Of The Day: And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works – Hebrews 10:24.

LISTEN: Every believer in Christ Jesus is created for good works. Although we are saved for eternity, at the same time we are to be vessels of Christ on the earth. Christ died to purify for Himself a special people (we), who will be zealous of good works. (Titus 2: 14). That is the purpose Christ saved us. He separated us from the world to be a type of himself on the earth in service to humanity, in kindness, in love, in generosity, in forgiveness, in faithfulness to God, in preaching of the gospel, in holy living, in mercy towards others, and in all manners of good works. Any believer in Christ who is bereft of good works is a disappointment to the divine purpose of God. The absence of good works in the life of a Christian renders him or her unfruitful in the service of the Kingdom of God. (Titus 3:14). God’s will for believers in Christ is that, every man that must be saved through Christ’s death must be saved into good works for the kingdom. However, we must endeavour to provoke one another to this responsibility – performing good works for Christ. We must cause it to happen in the lives of fellow Christians by constantly encouraging one another in the faith.

Beloved, how prepared are you for the use of the kingdom? Do you know that you are a vessel in the hands of God? That God wants all you are without reservation. Remember that satan’s agents cannot work for God, only the redeemed can, and we are the redeemed of God. Beloved, now is the time to render services to God and humanity (Gal. 6:10). There is a reward waiting for you: let us serve God faithfully and allow the joy of the coming of Christ propel us. Do you know that the hope of the Lord’s coming is a great stimulus to service and activity to God? How passionate are you about the kingdom assignments? Do you know that the best work can only be accomplished by an enthusiastic worker. Beloved, the best work is working for God, and for this, the highest enthusiasm is required. It is unfortunate that Christians today want to practice painless Christianity; a Christianity that cost nothing. This is a direct opposite of the primitive genuine faith practised by the early church that conquered the world for Christ. Friend, what have you done for the kingdom? Think about that today and God will help you to accomplish His purpose in Jesus’ name.

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. You are expected to work for the kingdom with all you have and all you are.
2. You are expected to surrender yourself completely to your assignments from God.
3. You are expected to be the vessel God will use to reach out to the world.
4. You are expected to resist every temptation to abandon your faith in favour of the world.

Daily Task: Always see yourself as a solution provider and an agent of God’s kingdom agenda in the church, society and the world at large.

Daily Reflection: No service rendered or work done is commendable if its purpose is not to bless lives and to glorify God.

Prayer: Almighty God, open my eyes to your purpose, wake up my slumbering spirit and equip me for good works to the glory of your name, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Prophetic Word: Today, I prophesy over your life, may God use you to the glory of His name and make you a vessel of honour in His hands, in Jesus’ name.
