Verse Of The Day : Look, God is my deliverer! I will trust in him and not fear. For the LORD gives me strength and protects me; he has become my deliverer.- Isaiah 12 : 2

LISTEN : Who is your deliverer? Who will you call in time of trouble? Who will you run to when it appears like the whole world is crashing down on you? Who will you cry to for help when the storms of life rises against you? Do you know that your safety is dependent on your choice of a deliverer? Friend, your life is secure or vulnerable by your choice of a defender. Who then is a deliverer? A deliverer is a person who rescues you from harm or danger. The name deliverer is synonymous with a rescuer, a saviour, and a helper. Anyone can be used to deliver you from harm or danger, but not everyone can be a deliverer indeed. A lot of people take their fellow men as their dependable and ultimate deliverers. They believed that they are safe and secure with the presence of their so-called deliverers. Unfortunately, such people forgot to realise that nothing is secured or protected which the Lord does not secure and protect. Nothing is safe which the Lord had left vulnerable.

There is no victory in battle if the Lord does not order it. It does not matter the strength of your armory, the skills, expertise and preparedness of your military personnel, only God can decree victory. The bible says, ” A horse is prepared for the day of battle, but the victory is from the LORD.” (Proverbs 21 : 31). To trust in your own strength for deliverance is to forfeit your victory. In ancient times, some part of the world used horses and chariots for battles; and they believed that the strength of one’s army and the quality of one’s arsenal will guarantee victory. Most often it does not work that way. David, a man without sophisticated weapons defeated the fortified, battle-equipped and war Lord Goliath of Gath, of the Philistines. God gave him victory over Goliath because victory belongs to Him (God). David trusted in the Lord and was delivered from the hands of the dreaded Goliath. In Psalms 20 : 7 he said, ” Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we depend on the LORD our God.” Beloved, he trusted in the living God and was not ashamed. In the same way, we should learn to trust the living God for deliverance. Our verse of the day said, ” Look, God is my deliverer! I will trust in him and not fear. For the LORD gives me strength and protects me; he has become my deliverer. (Isaiah 12 : 2). Friend, make the LORD your personal deliverer by making Jesus Christ your Lord and Saviour.
