Verse Of The Day : He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not life.- 1 John 5 : 12

LISTEN : Christmas celebration is usually a wonderful time all over the world among Christians and many other people. The season (Christmas) is observed to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. Beloved, should we not do more than just celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ? Should we not welcome Him individually into our lives and homes? Should we not make Him king over our lives? Should we not establish a lasting relationship with Him? Should we not make ‘Christmas’ a daily celebration of a personal relationship with Christ.

I think that is what we should do. We must determine to have Christ in our lives. To have Him is to have life. Jesus Christ is the way to the Father. Therefore, He is the way to life. Eternal life is in Him. Without Him life will be eternally miserable and wasted. (John 3: 36). To be empty of Him is to be empty of life; as to be full of Him is to be full of life. Our verse of the day said, ” He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not life.” (1 John 5 : 12). This means that we must have a spiritual and experimental knowledge of Jesus Christ, have true faith in Him; allow Him to dwell in our hearts, and live in us all the days of our lives. (Galatians 2 : 20).

The result of this relationship with Him will be eternal life. The knowledge we have of Christ is eternal life; we have it in faith and hope, because we accept Him as Lord of our lives. This is not the case of the unbelievers; because they do not have Christ, therefore, they do not have eternal life. They have no knowledge of Christ, nor faith in Him, nor enjoyment of Him: therefore they do not have life. Beloved, he that does not have Jesus Christ is dead in sin, alienated from the life of God, has no title to eternal life, nor shall enjoy it, but shall die the second death. Thankfully, God has left us with a choice to make today – accept His Son and be saved, or reject Him and be doomed. As you celebrate this season, determine to embrace Jesus Christ today.

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Determine to make your relationship with Jesus the foremost of your priorities.
2. Drop the attitude of not examining your life regularly.
3. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ into your life, do not leave this season without doing it.
4. As you celebrate the birth of Christ this season, determine to celebrate your new birth in Him too.

Daily Task : Do not allow anything to keep you from embracing Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Saviour. Determine to walk with Him all the days of your life.

Daily Reflection : You have not live until you have live in Christ; and you cannot die again if you have ‘died to sin’ and alive in Christ.

Daily Prayer : Precious Father, thank you for your word today. I acknowledge that I have no life without your Son Jesus Christ. Therefore, I completely surrender to you today, save me from the hands of the devil, and receive me to yourself, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Daily Prophetic Declaration : Today, I prophesy over your life, as you celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, your life will not remain the same, but changed for good and glory, in Jesus’ name.
