Verse Of The Day: Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in him, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.- Romans 15 : 13

LISTEN: God gives hope. That is, He fills our hearts with good desires and expectations. He causes us to expect with confidence and trust. There is no hopeless person in God. Hopelessness is a sign of godlessness. (Ephesians 2 : 12). There is no one who will put his hope in God that is permitted to continue to live with a hopeless mindset. A firm believe in the power of God will drive away hopelessness. But what does it mean to be hopeless? To be hopeless is to have no expectation of good or success. It is to despair; and giving no ground for hope. Hopelessness has been the state of many today. They do not believe that good things or success will ever come their ways. They are not expecting good or success but evil. They believe that the future holds the worst for them.

Hopelessness is never a place to be. Every reasonable person will not hesitate to run away from the company of hopeless people. Hopeless fellows could be so terrible and unpredictable, because hopeless people hardly think positively, let alone take positive actions. Beloved, no matter the situation you find yourself you have no reason to be hopeless. It does not matter how miserable your case might be, you still do not have any good reason to be hopeless. No doubt, certain conditions may appear hopeless naturally, but not with God. There is no hopeless situation with God. So cheer up! Do not despair, rather encourage yourself in God. All hope is not lost. Believe in God, He is everything you need. In our devotional yesterday, the scripture called God the God of peace. In our verse of the day, He is called, the God of hope.

This simply means that God gives hope – He fills our hearts with good desires and expectations. He causes us to expect with confidence and trust. (Romans 5 : 4 – 5). In our verse of the day the bible says, ” Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in him, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15 : 13). Perhaps your situation seems hopeless, as a result you are hopeless yourself and has given up on life. I want you to surrender your case to God. Determine to live differently from today. Let the God of hope fill your heart with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Begin to allow hope to grow in your life and you will be glad you did. (Romans 15 : 4)

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. No matter how bad your situation may seem, do not lose hope nor give up on life.
2. You might be hopeless yesterday, however, determine today to live differently for a better future.
3. Cast your hopeless situation upon God and trust Him to pull you out of the mess.
4. Any time you feel downcast, speak good things to yourself and hope to see your words come true in your life.

Daily Task: Be hopeful no matter what. There is no crime in being hopeful, only in hopelessness is crime committed against one’s general wellbeing and life. Beware!

Daily Reflection: There is no hopeless person in God. Hopelessness is a sign of godlessness. But a firm believe in the power of God will drive away hopelessness.

Daily Prophetic Declaration: Today, I prophesy over your life, may God arrest the spirit of hopelessness and frustration in your life; and give you reasons to be strong, hopeful and victorious, in Jesus’ name.
