Verse Of The Day : Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there is freedom.- 2 Corinthians 3 : 17

LISTEN: God gives freedom. His Spirit is the Spirit of Freedom. According to dictionary definition, “freedom is the quality or state of being free: the absence of necessity, coercion, or constraint in choice or action: liberation from slavery or restraint or from the power of another; etc.” Friend, Freedom is one of the greatest desires of mankind. No one feels happy being a slave to another.

Slavery has been the source of man’s miseries. Many are slaves to men, others to their consciences as a result of evil deeds. Besides, the human race is enslaved to sin, as a result, people find it difficult to follow the will of God. Beloved, no one is free until he or she receives freedom from God, the almighty God of freedom. God’s desire for His people is to be free. That is, He wants you to enjoy civil and political liberty. He wants you to enjoy freedom from outside or satanic domination. He wants you to enjoy personal freedom.

He does not want you to be subjected to the control or domination of the devil and his agents. He wants you to enjoy the freedom of choosing for yourself. Unfortunately, many today are seeking freedom from the wrong places. Real freedom can only be found in God. In His preaching to His audience, Jesus Christ said, ” And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. So if the son sets you free, you will be really free.”(John 8 : 32 , 36). Beloved, God want us to be free from the power of sin. He want you to be free to do the right thing. He wants you to stop living in sin. He knows that sin enslaves, therefore, offers to give freedom.

Do you know that when we live in sin we make ourselves slaves to sin and Satan? The bible says, “Jesus answered them, “Truly, I tell all of you emphatically, that everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin.”(John 8 : 34). Thankfully, the devil cannot keep us as slaves forever. God has already established freedom for us all, through His Son Jesus Christ. It is up to you to accept Him and be free, or reject Him and remain in bondage. The freedom He gives covers all areas of our lives. Why not receive Him today? Remember, the LORD is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the LORD is present, there is freedom. Besides, if the son (Jesus Christ) sets you free, you will be really free. Be wise!
