Verse Of The Day: For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.- 1 Corinthians 16:9
LISTEN: The business of the enemy is to cause havoc (a situation in which there is much destruction or confusion). Enemies are everywhere. Their mission is to shatter and batter your dreams, visions and purpose in life. They do not want to see you succeed in business, ministry, career, marriage, relationship, academics, etc. They want to see you frustrated, confused, or possibly dead and buried.
They hate good things, as a result, their heart is full of bitterness, envy and evil thoughts towards others. They will not cease from their evil designs until they see their targeted objects affected and harmed. Thankfully, we are not alone. God cannot give any of His children to the wish of the enemy or enemies as the case may be. No matter how strong the enemy might be, God knows how to get His children out of dangers.
The bible says, ” He delivered me from my strong enemies, from those who hated me because they were stronger than I.” (Psalms 18:17). Beloved, David was in trouble as his life was threatened by King Saul, and later, his own son Absalom. However, he trusted in the Lord and called to Him and He delivered him. God will always deliver those who trust in Him from the hands of their enemies.
Beloved, it does not matter how dedicated you are to God, or anointed of Him, you are not excluded from the enemy’s attack. As anointed and spiritual as Apostle Paul was, he still acknowledged the attack of the enemy on his ministerial opportunities and favour. He said, ” For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries. (1 Corinthians 16:9). He admitted that God had opened doors for him. This represents opportunities, favour, breakthrough in his career, ministry, Kingdom advancement, etc.
However, he affirmed that there were many adversaries – enemies, opponents. These are people who will not want to live to see you succeed in life. But I am bold to announce to you that they cannot stop you. For the fact that they could not stop Apostle Paul, they cannot stop you. God will prosper you even in the presence of your enemies (Psalms 23 : 4 – 6). Beloved, do not be afraid, rise and fight with your faith, for God is with you. (Romans 8 : 31).
