Verse Of The Day: The LORD shall fight for you, and all of you shall hold your peace. Exodus 14 : 14
LISTEN: God is a man of war. He fights His people’s battles. This was the song and confession of Moses and the Israelites after their miraculous deliverance from Pharaoh and the army of Egypt. The bible says, ” The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.” (Exodus 15 : 3). Beloved, do you know that life is full of battles, both known and unknown? Physical and spiritual? Do you also realise that no one is exempted from the battles of life? That the poor and the rich, young and old, white and black, the learned and self informed, etc, are alike involved in the battles of life? Beloved, you cannot shy away from the battles of this life but you can surely overcome it through the power of God almighty.
Everyday we go through the battle of life in different areas of our lives – marriage, career, business, family, health, finances, relationship, ministry, etc; and most often we come out of them badly wounded. But there is a good news for you today – the LORD shall fight for you. God does not need your physical strength to get you out, but your cooperation. You might be weak in the flesh, neglected by loved ones, abandoned, or messed up by circumstances of life, but just cheer up; because JEHOVAH the Man of war shall fight for you and you will hold your peace.
Beloved, there are things you must do to provoke God to fight for you. 1) Obedience To His commands: When the Egyptian came close to the Israelites at the bank of the Red Sea, God commanded Moses thus: ” The LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on.(Exodus 14 : 15). You must not allow any situation to keep you stagnant, keep moving and doing what you should do in obedience to God. 2) Have Faith In God: God can only be attracted to you by faith. (Hebrews 11: 6). His instructions to you sometimes might seem ridiculous, but just follow and trust His judgment. He makes a way where there seems to be no way.
At the Red Sea, He commanded Moses to strike the water so that a way could open for the Israelites. Does that not look ridiculous? But that was where their miracle was discovered. Beloved, faith in God is the key to what you seek. Try it today. Beloved, we will continue tomorrow with this topic.
