Verse Of The Day: And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.- 2 Corinthians 12 : 9

LISTEN : The grace of God is enough for all our situations. We are what we are by His grace. Although, many may argue that they are what they are by their personal efforts, intelligence, connections, wisdom, strength, etc, but they err, because we are what we are by His grace (2 Corinthians 3 : 5).

However, the grace of God does not exempt us from necessary human efforts and doing the needful to enjoy His blessings on the works of our hands. Whatever we enjoy in this world is all by His grace. For instance, the sick needs grace not just medication to recover from sicknesses and diseases. Every medication, or ‘traditional concoction’ would rely on the immune system to function; but if the immune system and life itself cannot work anymore, medication or concoctions are of no use.

The same apply to all areas of life. Life entirely depend on God’s goodness and grace to be sustained. From the air we breath in and out daily, to the food we eat; common sense will tell you that all benefits could be traced to God’s grace. One of the mysteries of God’s grace is that it works well in our weaknesses. Does that sound surprising? I believe this might sound confusing and impracticable, right? God’s grace enables us to do or become what we do not have the strength to do, or become.

When you are confused in life, that is when His grace speaks on your behalf. When you have concluded to give up on life, His grace will speak. When you do not have a choice but to commit suicide due to frustration, adversities, afflictions, sicknesses, tragedies, etc, that is when His grace often appears. Beloved, His grace will speak for you.

Apostle Paul was a man endowed with so much of divine revelations and insights, bravery and contentment, but he came to a point where he was in a difficult and dangerous situation. He asked God for intervention and possibly end his afflictions. Guess what God replied to him after he had prayed over and over again; “…My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12 : 9).

Beloved, like Apostle Paul, are you in any form of danger, affliction, trouble, etc; rather than complain, weep, groan, mourn and wish for death, why not rely on the unfailing and sufficient grace of God? His grace is made complete in weakness. His grace works well in your inabilities. When Apostle Paul received this unlikely response from God, He said, ” Most gladly therefore will I (Paul) rather glory in my infirmities [weaknesses], that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”(2 Corinthians 12 : 9b).

He determined to rely completely on God’s grace than struggle endlessly to change what God has given him the power to endure. Beloved, any situation you find yourself, do not give up, remember, God’s grace is sufficient for you. Count on His grace and you will not be put to shame.
