Verse Of The Day: No one can be established through wickedness, but a righteous root cannot be moved. Proverbs 12 : 3

LISTEN: A solid foundation is necessary for a lasting investment. Anything without a solid foundation is just existing for disaster. Foundation is important because every other thing lies on it. Nothing stands for a long time whose foundation is faulty and sinking.

In stressing the need for a strong foundation Jesus Christ said, “Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that hears these sayings of mine, and does them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.” (Matthew 7 : 24 – 27).

Here Jesus Christ told His audience that God’s word is the foundation for moral principles. It is the underlying basis or principle for lasting success. When God’s word is undermined, failure is inevitable. Where God’s word is neglected, wickedness is celebrated; and where wickedness is celebrated, achievements are destined to crumble. God’s righteous judgment will always disappoint the baseless hope of the wicked. Beloved, it does not matter what you have to your credit, in as much as you love and celebrate evil, disaster is inevitable.

Our verse of the day says, ” No one can be established through wickedness, but a righteous root cannot be moved.” (Proverbs 12 : 3). It is sad that people do many evil things with the intentions to establish themselves. They kill to establish themselves in power, they steal and rob to establish themselves in wealth; they commit all manners of atrocities to establish themselves in influence, popularity, fame, etc. Unfortunately, it cannot work as planned because, no one can be established through wickedness.

Even if the wicked seem to prosper, his prosperity is kept for the wind, it does not have the capacity to stand the test of time. It is a matter of time evil will find out the wicked. Beloved, you can only be established through the fear of God and righteousness through faith in Christ Jesus. Righteousness will exalt you, but sin will bring disgrace if allowed to dominate you. Beware! (Proverbs 14 : 34).
