Verse Of The Day: Even, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.- Psalms 23 : 4
LISTEN: The righteous are not afraid of any evil because they knows that fear is a major instrument in the hands of the devil. Satan uses fear to empty people of their strength. He often destroy even the most courageous by the same instrument of fear and keep him or her in doubt of the help of God in times of trouble. Beloved, have you forgotten that we are not alone? That those who trust in the LORD cannot be abandoned, no matter the circumstance?
The righteous in Christ (believers) fights their fears through faith in God. They believe that God is greater than what appears to be greater than them. Apostle John clearly stated in 1 John 4 : 4 thus: “You are from God…and have conquered them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”
Beloved, why are you afraid of evil? Why have you surrendered to satanic intimidations? Where is your faith? Has God ceased to answer prayers? No matter what you are going through, determine to overcome. David was in similar trouble as you are today, but he assured himself of victory by the power of God. In our verse of the day he said, “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.” (Psalms 23 : 4).
In spite of his situation, he (David) chose to think and act differently. He admitted the fact that he was in real trouble, but believed that with God’s grace and help, the situation will be divinely manipulated in his favour. Beloved, like David, be courageous no matter the threats to your life? Put your trust in God. David said, “In the time of my fear, I will have faith in you.”(Psalms 56 3).Therefore, anytime you are afraid, learn to put your trust in God. Do it and it shall be well with you.
