Verse Of The Day: Commit your works to the LORD, and your plans will be established. Proverbs 16 : 3

LISTEN: It is foolishness to embark on the journey of life without God’s backing. Most people make the mistake of starting their projects and asking God to accept and support them. To have God’s backing, He should be involved in your plans. Seek His opinion in your plans. What does He want you to do? How does He want you to do it? In every phase of the planning God should be involved. That is not to mean that you cannot make your plans, rather what it means is that you plan, follow up, and leave the success of it in the Hands of God.

It is wrong to act and think as though the success of your plans depend solely on you. Do you know that you may plan well and not live to see the outcome of your plan? That simply means that you are partially, but not totally in charge of your plans. Ultimate decision lies with God, therefore, you should learn to commit your plans to Him and allow Him bring it to pass. BIBLE in BASIC ENGLISH TRANSLATION put our verse of the day thus: “Put your works into the hands of the Lord, and your purposes will be made certain.”(Proverbs 16 :3).

Beloved, learn to commit your works unto the Lord. All manner of works and plans, none is too small to be committed to God. Seek to him for strength and assistance in all, and leave the success of all with Him. Cast all care upon Him and His providence for supply, support, and sustenance in life. Above all, commit the business of the salvation of your soul, and the important affairs of it, totally to Him, who is able, willing, and faithful to keep what is committed to him. Commit your works to God, because He is better able to bear it.

Your works or plans includes your case, condition, and circumstances; your wants and necessities; seek and ask for a supply of God, make known your requests to Him; for though He is not ignorant of our affairs, yet He will be sought unto, to do the things which He intends to do for us, and we stand in need of. when we have, by faith and in prayer, committed ourselves, our cases, our ways and works to the Lord, our minds are made easy, our thoughts are composed and settled, and we quietly wait for the outcome of things; we can then say, the will of God be done.

Beloved, commit your works to God and remember that He causes all things to work together for good; and whatever is for your good and God’s glory shall be brought to pass. God will make you to have your designs, desires, and endeavours accomplished if you commit them to Him and trust in Him. (Psalms 37:5).
