Verse Of The Day: Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out. Proverbs 20 : 5

LISTEN: Do you know that everyone has some priceless and good things hidden in them? Some potentials that unless someone triggers it, will remain dormant till the death of its possessor? Do you also know that a lot of people, without motivation and counsel cannot amount to anything in life? Do you know that a little positive contribution from you can bring the best out of someone? (Proverbs 11 : 14 ; 15 : 22). Sadly, many seem not to see others from this light. Selfishness and self-centeredness has rob the society the opportunity of tapping into the oceean of untapped potentials of others.

A lot of people are quiet and withdrawn from others because no one seems to care about their little contributions. People believe that nothing good can come out of them. Worst of all, we also believe same about our children and relatives because we do not see anything good in them. Beloved, I want us to know that no one is created empty, including that child of yours that you have given up on. God created everyone with some measures of abilities and potentials. Therefore, a little brushing up, motivation, encouragement, supervision, moral support, can make the difference.

Many have good plans and intentions for themselves no doubt, but do not know how to go about making it useful. Many do not know that they have what it takes to achieve success. It takes a person of understanding to draw up such untapped potentials and transform the person into a vessel of honour in God’s hand. Our verse of the day says, ” Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out. (Proverbs 20 : 5). BIBLE IN BASIC ENGLISH puts it this way, ” The purpose in the heart of a man is like deep water, but a man of good sense will get it out.”(Pro 20 : 5).

Beloved, creating a successful future is difficult, but you can help others by shaping their lives in any way you can. You can draw out success for them from their deep water of good intentions, plans and visions by moulding them into useful objects. Do what you can for them and leave the rest in the hands of God. Besides, also work at drawing out success from your own untapped potentials by doing the best you can, learning from good people, and leaving the rest in the hands of God. Beloved, never forget that most people who are quiet and withdrawn need somebody to be understanding and to gently draw their input and contributions out of them. Let us bring out the best in one another.
