Verse Of The Day: Know therefore this day, and consider it in your heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else. Deuteronomy 4:39
LISTEN: God is God and lives forever. He was from the beginning, He lives both in the present and the future. The past was not without Him. He is known and felt by reasonable people from what He created. Nature is a practical expression of His power and glory. Mankind are the expression of His beauty and personality. There is no world without Him. Only a fool could say He does not exist. (Psalms 14: 1). Beloved, to feel, act, or think that there is no God does not mean that God does not exist. To imagine or believe that the world exist by chance and was created by none is the height of foolishness.
God almighty created the world for us to inhabit. He made it so that we can bless His name and serve Him all the days of our lives. Unfortunately, a lot of people have not yet acknowledge Him as the creator of the whole world. They believe that the world came to be by chance. Beloved, common sense should tell us that such line of reasoning is unreasonable. The sun, moon, stars, trees, all vegetation, the sea, ocean, animals, birds, fowls, etc., cannot exist by mere chance. The bible clearly tells us that all things are of God and belongs to Him. (Psalms 24 : 1).
Besides, on a daily basis we enjoy our food from fruits and food bearing plants. We are also blessed with water, wisdom, intellectual abilities, energy, etc. All these can never be products of chance. Beloved, it will be unfair and insensitive to attribute God’s goodness to nothing, or something else other than God. (James 1 :17). After several encounter of Moses with God, he does not need anyone anymore to tell him about the existence of God. He knows that God does exist and is the creator of the world.
He is the almighty God who lives from eternity to eternity. He is worthy to be praised. Therefore, Moses said to the Israelites, ” Know therefore this day, and consider it in your heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.” (Deuteronomy 4:39). What does that mean? It means that we should not be ignorant of the existence of God. We should believe in His existence and serve Him as the only true God. When we acknowledge the existence and sovereignty of God, it should in turn, produce faith in us; cause us to trust Him, for besides Him there is none else. He reigns in heaven and in the earth.
Therefore, let us not deny the fact that He is God, nor fail to serve Him as our God and creator; instead, let us acknowledge and serve Him with the whole of our hearts.
