Verse Of The Day: Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Matthew 1 : 23.

LISTEN: Jesus Christ is God’s presence with mankind. The word Emmanuel means, God with us. Man is empty and vulnerable without God. A life without God is a life without purpose; and a life without purpose is a hopeless life and frustrated destiny. God with us is a good news that must not be undermined. To undermine the presence of God in our lives is to undermine our purpose of existence. But happy is the one who acknowledge Christ, the Emmanuel.

Beloved, do you know that God is with us? God with us means that nothing can prevail against us: all satanic forces in the world put together cannot prevail against us. (Isaiah 54 : 17). God with us means that God is our support and he desires to have a relationship with us. He wants to dwell in, and with us. He wants to forgive all our sins, reconcile us to himself and allow us another chance of eternal life with Him. (2 Corinthians 5 : 19).

The birth of Jesus Christ simply demonstrate that God is again united with man after the fall in Eden. Isaiah prophesied that a virgin woman will be supernaturally pregnant with a child; and will give birth to a son, and the child will be called Emmanuel; meaning, “God with us”. At the appointed time Jesus Christ was born as prophesied. (Isaiah 7 : 14 ; Matthew 1 : 23). His immaculate conception and birth was divine.

The mission of Jesus Christ to the world is to save condemned sinners like us from sin and destruction; and to give us eternal life. Beloved, let us worship and accept him as the Lord and Saviour of mankind. He is the King of kings and the Lord of Lords. He is all we need to come to God. Therefore, offer yourself to him today and determine to share his love with others. Remember, he is Emmanuel, God with us.
