Verse Of The Day: No one can be established through wickedness, but a righteous root cannot be moved. Proverbs 12 : 3
LISTEN: Good foundation is critical to our existence. A solid foundation is necessary for a lasting success. Anything without a solid foundation is merely existing for imminent failure. Foundation is important because every other thing depends on it. Our lives rises or falls on our foundations. Nothing stands for a long time whose foundation is faulty and evil. A faulty foundation will produce a regrettable outcome. Those who ignore the need for a solid foundation in what they do, will soon discover their folly when everything crumbles.
Beloved, do you know that our actions, choices and decisions are the blocks with which we lay our lives foundations? When we choose to ignore God’s word and live in wickedness we are laying a faulty foundation. But when we choose to live in righteousness God will certainly establish us. Jesus Christ said, “Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.”(Matthew 7 : 24 , 25).
He went further to say, “And every one that hears these sayings of mine, and does them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.” (Matthew 7 : 26 , 27). This means that God’s word is the foundation for moral principles: it is the underlying basis or principle for lasting success. When God’s word is undermined, failure is inevitable. Where God’s word is neglected, wickedness is celebrated; and where wickedness is celebrated, achievements are destined to crumble.
Beloved, it does not matter what anyone has to his or her credit, in as much as evil is loved and celebrated, disaster is inevitable. The bible says, ” No one can be established through wickedness, but a righteous root cannot be moved.” (Proverbs 12 : 3). It is sad that people do many evil things with the intentions to establish themselves. They kill to establish themselves in power, they steal and rob to establish themselves in wealth; they commit all manners of atrocities to establish themselves in influence, popularity, fame, etc. But certainly, no one can be established through wickedness.
Beloved, you can only be established through the fear of God and righteousness through faith in Christ Jesus. Righteousness will exalt you, but sin will bring disgrace if allowed to dominate you. (Proverbs 14 : 34). Make the decision to shun evil and embrace goodness today.
