Verse Of The Day: The troubles of my heart are increased: O take me out of my sorrows.
Psalms 25 : 17 (BBE)
LISTEN: Beloved, do you know that man is only a vessel or channel God uses to deliver man? At such, man is not the true source of human help or deliverance? It is a waste of time to put total confidence in man. Man is not God, therefore has the tendency to fail, disappoint, die, deceive, change, etc. Relying completely on man for help and protection in times of trouble may fail, because that is the nature of man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. My dear, are you going through some afflictions? Is your life full of pains, shame and sorrows? Are you relying on your connections, wealth, etc, to remedy the situation? They will all fail at some points. Rely on God. God knows your distresses and burdens, and your cry for deliverance. Yes! He knows that no one is immune to pains and sufferings, everyone at one point or the other does taste a dose of it.
No doubt, when trouble comes, it does appear like we are not going to overcome it. We often panic and forget what should be done. We are always too quick to forget God and go in search of alternative “solution” when our distresses seem to increase. Beloved, if your distress increases, should your prayer and faith for deliverance not increase? God is a merciful and compassionate Father, His attentive ears are itching to hear your distress call – your prayers. David in the midst of his afflictions prayed and said, ” Deliver me from my distress; rescue me from my suffering”(Psalms 25:17). He cried out to God because the affliction was more than he could handle. And because he cried out to God, he delivered him. Furthermore, David said, ” Surely he rescued me from all trouble, and I triumph over my enemies.(Psalms 54 : 7). Beloved, are you in any form of danger or distress? Like David, pray to the LORD today, and trust him to deliver you from the hands of your enemies.
