Verse Of The Day: For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1 : 18

LISTEN: The good news of Jesus Christ to the world is a revelation of God’s goodwill to mankind. The gospel of Christ Jesus is the message of salvation designed to bring an end to man’s miseries. It is the gospel of the Kingdom of God. This is the gospel that brings deliverance from the power of sin and Satan, and brings the delivered to God’s Kingdom of light. This is the gospel that Christians, the disciples of Christ proclaims all over the world. It is equally the gospel that comes with persecution to the proclaimers, as a result, many for fear of death find it difficult to truly proclaim, or accept it. But this gospel of persecution and trials, is the same that gives eternal life. Beloved, this gospel is a message of life, hope, joy and reconciliation to God. Those who receives the gospel (Jesus Christ) by turning from their wicked ways through faith are save by it. But those who reject the gospel by considering it as foolishness will receive to themselves condemnation and eternal death.

Irrespective of our sins, Jesus Christ came to reconcile us to God through his sacrificial death. He came with the good news of God’s forgiveness to mankind and restoration of the paradise that was once lost by Adam. What a loving and compassionate God! He is willing to forgive and restore us. However, his forgiveness and restoration depend on our faith in him. Without faith, it will be impossible to please him (Hebrews 11: 6). Besides, his message will not profit us anything. Beloved, God is calling everyone today to turn from his or her evil ways and embrace his Son Jesus Christ. He is the righteousness of God, because he bore our sins in his own body (2 Cor 5 : 21). Therefore, may we not take the preaching of the gospel of Christ as foolishness, for such will mean destruction for us; instead, let us accept it and embrace Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour today.
