Verse Of The Day: Think on these things. Devote your life to them so that everyone can see your progress. 1Timothy 4 : 15

LISTEN: Life is too short to be spent moving aimlessly in a circle. The beauty of life is in making progress in one’s God-given assignments. Beloved, are you really making progress in your God-given assignments? Do you know that life passes with time? I am sure you want to make, and be seen to be making progress. Obviously, no one wants to have his or her progress hindered. However, we have seen countless people who had stopped to make progress in their areas of interest. But what exactly is progress? It is to move forward in time: to improve or develop over a period of time: to move forward or toward a place. It is to develop to a higher, better, or more advanced stage. Considering this definition, are you sure you are making progress? Are you sure you are moving forward to the place you want to be in life? Are you progressively developing from where you are presently to a higher, better and advanced stage in life? Or have you chosen to be stagnant, stranded and frustrated in life? Beloved, you are created for impact. Therefore, to make progress, you must not spend your time in the same point doing nothing for a long time (Deuteronomy 1: 6 – 7).

However, to truly make progress, you must adhere strictly to principles and standards related to your pursuit in life. When principles and standards are neglected, progress is hindered. Where progress is hindered success is forfeited. Beloved, the joy of every noble enterprise is success (accomplishments), the absence of it makes labour fruitless and useless. To avoid fruitless enterprise in ministry, Apostle Paul in chapter 4 of 1 Timothy, enjoined Timothy to do certain things that will facilitate his progress, namely: (1). To not allowed anyone look down on him because he was young, but to make himself an example for other believers in speech, behaviour, love, faithfulness, and purity. (v.12). (2). To give himself to reading, to exhorting, and to teaching. (v.13). 3). And to never neglect the gift that was in him, by the grace of God (v.14). My dear, the admonitions of Paul to Timothy applies to us today. You cannot expect progress in your life when you succumb to intimidation, fear and challenges. Besides, no noticeable progress will occur when you cease to learn and upgrade yourself. You cannot expect progress when you undermine or neglect to provoke your God-given potentials and talents. So determine to make progress no matter what.
