Verse Of The Day: And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Romans 13 : 11 , 12.

LISTEN: Understanding of the time will help bring us (Christians) back on track. A lot of believers in Christ today appears to have forgotten and abandoned their call and commitment to Christ. What they do today no longer correspond to what they initially agreed to do as disciples of Christ. They follow evil trends and fads whether they are biblical or not, at the expense of their faith and life. Almost everyone seemed to be ‘dancing to the rhythm’ of Satan’s subtle approach of using trends (a general direction of change: a way of behaving, that is developing and becoming more common and currently popular or fashionable) and fads (a practice or interest followed for a time with exaggerated zeal) to blind people’s eyes from following the purpose of God for mankind. Many are no longer stable and committed in their faith because Satan’s ‘wind of change’ has blown them away from God’s original plan for them. Beloved, do you still feel God anymore? Is your zeal for Christ still intact or gone? Not to worry! Just wake up from your slumber.

Our bible verse of the day says, ” And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.” (Romans 13 : 11 , 12 kjv). Another translation puts it this way, ” This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is almost gone; the day of salvation will soon be here. So remove your dark deeds like dirty clothes, and put on the shining armor of right living.” (NLT). Beloved, obviously time is running out and we need to wake up from spiritual slumber. We should be active and zealous to the things of God. We should purge ourselves of every evil deed and shine as light to our dark world of sin. Beloved, put on the armour of light. That is, all Christian graces, which are bright and shining in the eyes of the world, and which will be as so much Christian armour, to defend us against sin, and all the assaults of Satan. May we put on the armour of light and shine the light of Christ in this dark world, in Jesus’ name.
