Author: Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day: Let’s behave decently, as people who live in the light of day. No wild parties, drunkenness, sexual immorality, promiscuity, quarreling, or jealousy! Instead, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus, the Messiah, and do not obey your flesh and its desires. Romans 13 : 13 , 14

LISTEN: Life could be tragic without integrity. The absence of it could cost a whole lot. Integrity is a vital key to earning respect and honour. No one earns and retains genuine respect and honour without integrity. Anyone who is bankrupt of integrity is bankrupt of honour. Lack of integrity will strip people of honour and promotion, and bring reproach upon them instead. Beloved, have you considered your state of integrity? Do you know that your life is empty without integrity even when you appeared full and complete? It is painful today that a lot of people, including Christians seem to have deleted the word ‘integrity’ from their dictionary. Many have thrown caution to the wind and have denied their faith in Christ. People are happy and comfortable to see themselves living without integrity. What exactly is integrity? The dictionary defined integrity as moral soundness; honesty; freedom from corrupting influence or motive. It means to be fair and genuine. Beloved, are you morally sound? Are you living to please God or yourself?

Our bible verse of the days, “Let’s behave decently, as people who live in the light of day. No wild parties, drunkenness, sexual immorality, promiscuity, quarreling, or jealousy! Instead, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus, the Messiah, and do not obey your flesh and its desires. Romans 13 : 13 , 14). Beloved, God wants us to walk in integrity. His desire for us is to behave decently in a world full of indecency. The world is so corrupt today that even the church (the body of christ), is looking more like the world in believing, ideologies, policies, etc. The moral soundness of the church have been defiled. Our light to the world as children of God has been dimmed by compromise. Sexual immorality has been allowed and enjoyed in the house of God. Quarrelling and jealousy have replaced peace, understanding and love. Integrity no longer matters to us anymore; for if it does, why will the church join the world to oppose God in the name of human rights? In seeking human rights, God’s own rights have been violated. And I maintain that humans have no moral ground to ask for any ‘right’ where God’s rights are violated. Beloved, let us consider our state of integrity because God is interested in it.

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Consider your state of integrity and make the necessary changes in your life.
2. Do not compromise on your integrity for it is an asset to you.
3. No matter what happens, do not oppose God by your actions and decisions.
