Verse Of The Day: The human spirit is like the lamp of the LORD, searching all his innermost parts. Proverbs 20 : 27
LISTEN: Do not undermine your conscience. God created you with a conscience because He does not want you to deviate from His purpose. People often deviate from the purpose of God because they failed to listen to their own consciences. Deep within our consciences we discover a law which we have not laid upon ourselves but which we must obey. The voice of conscience is ever calling us to love and to do what is good and to avoid evil at all cost. Conscience is that part of the mind that makes you aware of your actions as being either morally right or wrong: it is a feeling that something you have done is morally wrong. God gave us consciences so that evil will not dominate our hearts. With our consciences, we should have a clear perception of the principles of morality; what to do, and what not to do, and to live our lives to the glory of God. God created man with the right to act in conscience and in freedom so as personally to make moral decisions; without being forced to act contrary to his conscience; nor prevented from acting according to his conscience. Sadly, for most people, conscience is no longer working and dead, because, it was repeatedly ignored. They commit all manner of evil without paying attention to the voice of conscience.
Beloved, do you listen to your conscience? Do you know that your conscience is God’s gift to you to help keep you from committing evil and suffering its consequences? Do you also know that God sees everything you do, and your conscience is a witness to it? Our bible verse of the day says, ” The human spirit is like the lamp of the LORD, searching all his innermost parts.” (Proverbs 20 : 27). Our consciences searches all our inward parts; our thoughts, intents, and purposes; which are the things that only our spirit alone knows; with our consciences as ‘God’s candle, or light’, we can look deep into our own heart and reflect upon our thoughts and schemes, and judge in some measure whether right or wrong. (Romans 2 : 14). Beloved, there is a conscience in you, which, unless dead, passes sentence on what is in you, or done by you, and either excuses or accuses you. My dear, listen to your conscience and you will not be overcome by evil. Those who neglect the voice of conscience are abound to pay dearly for their decisions.
